General description of the collection: Emerson C. Itschner papers copies of include transcript of an oral interview with General Emerson C. Itschner a U.S. Army Engineer Officer. He talks about his experiences during World War II, mostly with bridge building as well as similar activities during the Korean War. His post Korean War duty was as Assistant Chief of Engineers for Civil Works. He retired in 1974 and worked as a civil engineer.
